Welcome to my site! (still under construction)

You are now entering my site, where you will find a survey of my activiy as a teacher of Latin, Greek, History, Geography and Italian Literature.

I started studying Latin and Greek at the age of 14, attending the Classical Lyceum "Socrate" in Bari, where Latin, Greek and Humanities are the main subjects. In 2002 I graduated  cum laude in Greek and Latin Philology with prof. Luciano Canfora, and then qualified as a teacher in 2005. I  worked in different Italian schools until 2009, when I left for Scotland for a postgraduate Msc by research at the University of Edinburgh (where I also worked as a Latin tutor). After being awarded a Distinction for my dissertation, I came back to Italy. At the moment, I am working at  the Classical Lyceum "Oriani" in Corato.

At the age of 32, I have been practising Latin and Greek for no less than 18 years, although I have a strong interest in modern languages too (English, French, German, Spanish and Danish so far).

Most importantly, teaching is a profession I love passionately, as it allows me to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with my students. All my past academic and cultural experiences help me make my work richer and more interesting to my students. My university studies in Italy, Germany and Scotland, the international experiences as a volunteer (in India and Greece), my passion for travels and foreign languages  all together constitute a solid basis for my everyday work and help me keep my work at a high standard.

Enjoy!
